By organizing a eG8 the eve of the G8 in Deauville last May, Nicolas Sarkozy has brought the Internet for the first time, among the concerns of leaders. In line with their statement. Now we must find the tools for an Internet "free, open to all." To do this, Eric Besson, Minister of Industry, Energy and Digital Economy, today organized a seminar in Paris bringing together 13 Ministers of the Intergovernmental digital from around the world.

Innovation and Networks, protection of privacy, digital divide, security against cyber attacks are on the agenda of the conference New World 2.0. However, "there will be no statement after the conference, because there is already the declaration of Deauville, Le Figaro said Eric Besson. I wanted to spend New World 2.0 principles into action. It is time to materialize. "

Participants include, among others, Elliot Schrage, head of public policy for Facebook, David Drummond, Senior Vice President in charge of development of Google and Stéphane Richard, CEO of France Telecom, and Neelie Kroes, Vice President of the European Commission , in charge of the digital agenda. "This is progress as concretely as possible. These are issues that must be discussed together. New World 2.0 will bring together participants from 18 countries from five continents and all walks of life: ministers, large companies, startups, bloggers, venture capitalists, civil society, "explains Eric Besson cash advance today.

Value of content

The question remains networks at the heart of the debate. "There would not have the current development of the Internet without investing heavily in networks. In addition, we are only at the beginning of the increased use of networks. This raises the question of standards, quality of networks and investments, "says the minister. Before continuing, "On networks, we also work with the Americans. We do not want to trap them. What is the value of networks that are circulating over the contents. Our goal is to involve all major players. Thus we are able to be in the same round table number 2 on Google and the boss of France Telecom. "

If no resolution is produced at the end of this seminar, we must also rely on the goodwill of the United States, who will take over the presidency of the G8, to wedge the next go digital . "The event was to bring Internet to the agenda of the G8. And the highlight today is to bring together so many Internet stakeholders to implement together the principles of Deauville, "said Eric Besson.

Coface is concerned about the effects of the financial crisis on the real economy. Noting a decline in the strength of companies, credit insurance company, which today unveiled its new assessment is lowering its ratings for the euro area and the United States.

"The outstanding, which had indeed declined after the peak record in mid-2009, increased 12% worldwide in the first half of 2011," says chief economist Yves Zlotowski. Peripheral countries in the euro area are the most vulnerable, with an increase of 28% in Greece, Italy 29% and 71% in Portugal. "In this country, it is less sovereign risk worries that the business impact of the recession, austerity measures, the credit crunch and lack of growth opportunities," said the Chief Economist.

Another weak link, Italy (rated A4) which is found as Portugal (A4) on negative watch. The economy suffers from structural weaknesses of businesses, which will be aggravated by the economic slowdown. Degraded by one notch, Greece (note C) brings in its wake Cyprus (note B), due to the high exposure of its banks and a very high private debt no faxing pay day loans.

Other countries in the euro area – Germany, Austria, Belgium, France and the Netherlands – retain their A2 rating but lose the positive watch, as the United States.

Crisis of confidence

Overall, the two sides of the Atlantic are suffering the same problems. In downturn, linked to debt reduction of economic agents, combined with the crisis of confidence reflected in market volatility, the distrust of banks holding back access to credit, and political obstacles, among the psychodrama of the debt was U.S. and European delay in resolving the case of Greece and strengthen the euro area.

"We need a credible institutional scenario on European and safeguards," notes Yves Zlotowski, is said, however, confident. "There have been major advances in Greece, the role of the ECB, the EFSF …."

For the first time in ten years, a television advertising campaign will promote the merits of LU. So far, the leader in biscuits in France (acquired in 2007 by Kraft Danone), reserving his campaigns to his blockbusters (Prince, Pepito, Granola …), while no fewer than 40 brands. LU is now expressed in new spots. The biscuit can more effectively support its entire portfolio. In 165 years, LU also offered its first facelift in a decade. On the packaging of its 250 references, the red and white logo LU, more massive, with its slender letters, has taken over the product names. The cookies, wafer Paille d'Or at the Pooh Lulu, are now intertwined with the logo, to better capture the attention of the consumer.

Tea and restart Chamonix, marks 'forgotten'

"In recent years, Kraft's strategy has been to support the products, the brand LU was only there as security, acknowledges Chrystel Barranger, Vice President, Marketing Kraft Biscuits Europe. We must allow all to grow our portfolio, including brands such as Chamonix or Tea forgotten. "The food giant hopes to fight against any erosion of sales. "We had to give back to LU acclaim without losing the consumer," says Delphine Cadoche, executive director of Red Dragon packaging, the design agency behind the new visual identity of LU.

As a result, the perception of the range changes by customers. "It's very efficient in terms of recognition rays", admires a competitor creditreport. This strategic rethinking of the visual identity of LU, prepared for a year and a half, was initiated in Chicago, headquarters of Kraft and then driven to Paris.

It was vital for LU. While the brand is purchased at least once a week by 60% of French households, with a market share of 25% behind the labels. But LU, which has the widest range, did not realize enough synergies. It must stand out more from its competitors in the minds of buyers and the radius biscuits, one of the largest hypermarkets: 424 references on average, over 15 linear feet …

"The goal of Kraft is to strengthen and exploit its market leadership based on a strong umbrella brand, says Jean-Daniel Pick, a partner in the firm OC & C. It is a strong trend in the food just like what was done with his own brand Nestlé. "If the group is gaining ground on the MDD for a year and a half, he must above all its blockbusters. In mind, the timeless Prince, the best-selling biscuit in France.

Kraft also plans to promote its LU biscuits, which account for more than half their sales in France, outside its borders. But some best-sellers should be marketed outside the Hexagon logo without LU.Pepito and ready to go out in Europe under the emblem of Milka, another brand of Kraft.

After a lull last week, financial markets have plunged sharply Monday. Concerned about the lack of strong commitment of European finance ministers to support Greece, this weekend, and surprised by the tensions between Europe and the United States, investors are more likely to feel inevitable a lack of Athens. In Paris the CAC 40 index fell 3% while the German Dax gave up 2.83%. Again, it is the banks that were hardest attack.

The declaration on Sunday night on TF1, former IMF Managing Director Dominique Strauss-Kahn, for whom "we must accept to recognize that we must take his loss" of Greece was the effect of bomb."Hearing that DSK four months ago the IMF also urged new funding for Greece say the exact opposite now shows how events have turned," says Bruno Cavalier, chief economist at Oddo Securities. For the latter, there is a "real tired of the financial markets who want to wipe the slate clean once and for all to get back on firmer footing."

A feeling evident in a survey by Barclays Capital from major global investors. They are 24% think that the current crisis will lead to a breakup of the euro area. Over 60% of them believe that the European Financial Stability Fund (EFSF) will be insufficient to resolve the debt crisis.Although little scientific significance, such polls show the amount of work to be done now to reassure the magnitude of the crisis.

Bercy wants to reassure

France, Monday it is used by the voice of its Minister of Economy Baroin for which a default of Greece "is not a working hypothesis." At Bercy we stick to the same line of defense when all European countries have adopted the plan of July 21, that is to say by mid-October, the bleeding will be stopped.Reasoning that is opposed to that of economists who say a failure Greek is becoming increasingly economically rational, "If they want to avoid a failure of control, the Troika and the European Union in particular have an incentive to relieve pressure on the objectives short-term budget of Athens by insisting on the implementation of structural reforms to boost potential growth in Greece, "say economists at Morgan Stanley free business cards.

Rather than a sudden failure, we must consider a debt restructuring in the short term, implying a lower repayment installments provided for in the coming months to ease the Greek public finances. The major risk of such a scenario is a contagion to other peripheral countries "can be avoided if the ECB goes on the front lines and discourage speculation against the Italian debt by buying heavily," said Bruno Cavalier.

Creditors on deck

In this climate of growing skepticism, Greece somehow continues the implementation of the agreement of July 21, which passes through the participation of private creditors. Artisans of the device designed to reshape 192 billion euros of Greek claims STRIPS to complete the offer in October. "This operation can not be done in a snap. It is very complex technically and supports many constraints, "insists Fabrice Faure-Dauphin, a partner with law firm Allen & Overy, the Board of the operation. And insist: "If Greece were to miss a deadline, it does not fundamentally change the rules and would not offer more solutions to the problem."

The only good news, the first signals of the voluntary contribution of banks and other insurers are quite positive. While Greece requires a 90% interest in the exchange, some suggested a rate of 75% or 80%, almost unexpected. At these levels, the operation would have every opportunity to move forward. "A contribution of 85% instead of 90% needs to find an additional 8.5 billion euros," analysts calculate Barclays Capital. If Athens was a survey of creditors, the real success of the operation will not be known until after the formal offer proposal issued by the Greek government.

Athens without a loan repayment expected before December, this still leaves him time for both to continue its negotiations with the Troika and to carry out – or not – this massive debt restructuring for its crucial public finances. Meanwhile, the markets do not.

Commitments at risk of Kweku Adoboli have increased to 10 billion dollars (7.2 billion euros) according to the Sunday Times. Arrested on the night of Wednesday to Thursday, the trader in London the Swiss bank UBS has been detained by a judge Friday. May request bail at a subsequent hearing Thursday.

UBS said Thursday an estimated loss of 1.5 billion euros due to fraudulent transactions of its employees. Since then, the bank did not provide details on the mechanisms in question. The extent of fraud appears, however, reach gigantic proportions: it would be spread over three years since October 2008, without apparently the slightest alarm it caused internally. UBS warned regulators Swiss and British have launched a joint investigation. The bank has set up a parallel internal investigation unit called "Project Bronze" and instructed one of his best traders in derivatives, Jason Barron, to unwind positions Kweku Adoboli. While the fraud would have been discovered in the day Wednesday, all commitments have been liquidated Adoboli Friday.

Supposedly low-risk operations

The trader, who was promoted to his post in 2008 from the back office services, was a member of a small team of five people at Delta One desk. Their mission: to invest large sums to the equity of the bank's alleged market changes, via financial instruments called ETF (exchange traded funds) small personal loans. Generally, low profits emerged from these supposedly low-risk operations at very high volumes.Adoboli of the fault could have come from a lack of coverage of his Paris, which would have resulted in a spiral of losses since the collapse of financial markets this summer.

New to fear layoffs

The extent of the scandal poses serious threats to the future of UBS. While the bank has launched a 3500 plan job cuts, new job cuts are feared. The approximately 6000 employees of the investment bank in London feared an outright shutdown of their business, which should show a loss on the year while UBS as a whole should remain the beneficiary. Despite calls for resignations in Switzerland, head of UBS, Gruebele Oswald replied that he did not intend. "If you ask me whether I feel guilty, I say no," he told the newspaper Der Sonntag.

Concerned about its reputation with its clients it manages fortunes, UBS wrote them a letter Saturday to try to reassure them. "We fully understand that this incident may worry, says the bank. We are very disappointed and we also assure you that UBS is taking the matter very seriously and makes every effort to resolve it quickly. Your assets are safe with us. "

The absolute defense of the financial score

Do everything to prevent France to lose its "AAA" rating! Since the U.S. has been damaged on Friday by the rating agency Standard & Poor's, the pressure has increased dramatically over the last states still rated AAA in the world. Keep this precious document is now the major objective of the French government, for reasons both political and economic. A downgrade of France in fact lead to mechanically increase the cost of debt refinancing. But with 47 billion a year in interest payments, the debt burden is the second largest budget item in order of importance. At such high levels, any runaway deficit could swing into a downward spiral.

For now, however, there is no indication that France is threatened. On the contrary: since the beginning of the new crisis, two weeks ago, the rate at which the Treasury borrows on the markets – and ten years – fell by 3.44% to 3.07%, which is one point among the lows. In practice this means that investors continue to buy the French debt they still consider very safe. Moreover, Standard & Poor's, Moody's and Fitch have confirmed all three since the beginning of the week's AAA rating and France recalled that the note was accompanied by a "stable" outlook, that is, that they do not intend to revise the medium term. This does not prevent the wildest rumors running now in the trading rooms. Bercy had to lie to "formally" on Wednesday that France would be degraded."We want the managers of U.S. pension funds who question the quality of the French debt," says a French banker. To silence these questions that may to be growing, the executive is forced to accelerate its program of fiscal adjustment.

The unknown growth in 2012

Thursday morning, INSEE publish the number of French growth in the second quarter of 2011. Officially, the institute provides an increase of 0.4% of GDP. But economists expect a lower figure. Some do not hesitate to bet, even on a stagnation in activity between March and June After the strong rebound in GDP in the first quarter (+0.9%) consumption and industrial production have turned red, for technical reasons (end of scrapping, rising oil prices …) but also because global economy is now declining payday loans in one hour. The surprise meeting at the Elysee on Wednesday was probably meant to anticipate bad news ahead. "We have always said that the second quarter would be worse than the first and the activity will then return later this year," cautions there be in the entourage of Baroin.

A priori, the government should maintain its forecast of 2% growth this year, he still has a great chance to meet with the dynamics of the first month. However, doubt increases over the year 2012. Initially planned 2.5% growth for 2012 was revised down in May to 2.25%. This forecast now appears optimistic. Even before the storm in financial markets, experts Treasury recommended to display a more conservative figure of 2%."We want to be politically and economically credible our expectations: whether to revise downwards the growth we'll see," says one in the entourage of Valérie Pécresse.

More rigorous perspective

Baroin and Valerie Pécresse continue to hammer home: the objective of "intangible" is to keep the deficit reduction goals that provide for a deficit of 5.7% of GDP in 2011 and 4.6% in 2012. And that, "regardless of the level of growth," says one at Bercy. In other words, if the government is lowering its forecast for GDP in the coming days, they must be accompanied by such additional savings. For now, it is expected that the 2012 budget to be submitted end of September, involves three billion euros in savings on tax loopholes. It will probably do much more.Gilles Carrez (UMP), General Rapporteur of the budget in the Assembly, recommends at least 5 billion economy. If the amount is not yet determined the method, it begins to ripen. "It's likely that we proceed as in 2011," it says in the entourage of Baroin. This implies a general planing existing niches – "for everyone involved" – and a removal of devices deemed the most unjust. Companies are in the crosshairs this time, especially large compared to SMEs. Determine precisely the niches will be deleted at stake in the meeting of August 24.

Pequignet, a family company specializing in watches, is determined to win in the club of the great shows of the highest quality. It is in the basin watchmaker Mortlake, in the heart of the Jura, Emile Pequignet founded in 1973, the brand Pequignet EP. Soon, the French firm is in difficulties when the Japanese launched quartz watches. Their products much cheaper, are needed at the expense of traditional mechanical watches. It was not until the mid-1990s that the popularity of mechanical watches is reborn.

In 2004, Didier Leibundgut Pequignet back home, traditionally present on the market for luxury watches. With its new movement Calibre Royal, the brand acquired an international recognition. Based on a laboratory Pequignet was able to create from scratch the original movement consists of 318 pieces. After 5 years of work and 279 industrial plans, it is unveiled at Baselworld in 2009 and received the same year the prize for innovation awarded by the CGPME (General Confederation of Small and Medium Enterprises). Pequignet put all its business strategy on its flagship product. "Since the marketing of watches Calibre Royal in June, sales of Pequignet exploded," said D. Leibundgut. A marketing focused on the reliability, accuracy and aesthetics of this watch.

Calibre models proposed by Royal Pequignet are marketed around 5000 euros (9000 euros on average for a Rolex). This award is achieved by the originality of the movement: an initial stage where all functions other than the time display (indication of the day for example) are already included."This will produce a show in record time, thereby reducing production costs," says director Pequignet fast cash now. When complications are superimposed on additional plates, creating a watch requires a laborious process of adaptation, expensive and result in relatively random. "At this level of detail and complication, and at that price, Pequignet is unique in the market," says Lonza Alexandre, director of Maier, which includes three famous stores in the Lyon region.

Currently only 300 watches were produced Morteau since the release of Calibre Royal in May 2011, but total production is expected to reach 3000 hits by the end of the year and twice in 2012.An estimated 40,000 production units in five years.

"A French garden"

To achieve this goal, Didier Leibundgut, which currently employs twenty people, having to "hire fast enough and eight more in the future." Pequignet recently also became a training facility that will attract many watchmaking by offering a qualification, quality training and surrounded, as is the case, a young and creative team.

Lonza for Alexander, the house of Morteau "is able to compete, eventually, the leading brands of fine watchmaking." Already the Japanese recognize the quality of the product and have already called the movement "a French garden." "The Asian market looks promising," said Didier Leibundgut. The next exhibition in Basel, the factory will present his female model of the Royal Gauge.New, since the watches are traditionally women Pequignet quartz and produced in Switzerland.

If tourists have their holidays ruined by this July "rotten", the farmers themselves are partly reassured by the rain. The drought, which promised to be catastrophic end of May, appears to be narrowly avoided. For the first time in several months, the rains approached normal in June, easing the dry surface soil. However, only the northern regions have truly benefited. The first half of July and greatly reduces the effects of drought on the eastern countries, such as Rhône-Alpes and Burgundy, where the normal monthly rainfall has been exceeded. The West remains in a difficult situation.

Ranchers are in trouble

These rains helped to clarify some of the grain prospects. The agency has adjusted FranceAgriMer last week its forecast of wheat production, providing 32 million tons instead of 31. What remains below the 2010 harvest, already one of the less good the last two years.

If rain has arranged grains, however, it comes too late for some farmers. Given the difficulties to feed their animals for lack of grass in the meadows, it has been prematurely cut down some of their livestock online payday advance. For others, it was necessary to buy straw to grain. Contracts were signed with them, which helped to avoid speculation and keep the price around 25 euros per tonne.FNSEA has signed agreements with the SNCF for transporting the straw with the cost and highways to avoid tolls for trucks.

Despite these measures, the additional cost of purchasing straw will reach 10,000 to 50,000 euros per farm, according to the FNSEA. Some farmers will use a short-term loan from the Credit Agricole, at preferential rates (1.5 to 2%). This will allow them to wait until payment of the advance on the compensation of losses due to drought.

This advance, initially planned 100 million euros, has already been revised to 200 million and will be available by the National Fund for risk management in agriculture in mid-September. Nicolas Sarkozy also pledged to offset one year's repayments of loans to farmers in 2009.Christophe Chambon (Young Farmers) estimates that the measure "will give an impetus to helping farmers," but wants more: a deferred annuity of total loans.

If its economic potential is enormous, India as a country is decidedly difficult to grasp. The leaders of Renault and Nissan just to experience it. Friday morning, they learned by reading the Wall Street Journal as Bajaj, the Indian partner with whom they work since 2007 on the launch vehicle "ultra-low-cost," had decided to suspend the project. "We do not intend to get into the niche of low-margin cars," said Rajiv Bajaj to the director of Bajaj Auto. The announcement surprised Renault, which evoked a statement "uncoordinated". And for good reason: in the afternoon, Bajaj stated, in a statement that "the project Bajaj-Renault-Nissan was continuing and that the new platform would be presented to Renault-Nissan in January 2012."

Officially the project is not stopped.Communication amazing Indians necessarily leads to questions. The target market for these vehicles at very low cost, that is to say less than 3000 dollars, however, is huge. The goal is to put millions of Indians who use two-and three-wheeled rickshaws that the famous Bajaj is one of the leaders in the car.

Difficulties for the Nano

But the economic model is not easy to find, as shown by the difficulties encountered by the Tata Nano, the pioneer of its kind launched in 2008. Tata has indeed had to increase the price of the Nano several times since its launch. Today it is sold at a price of about $ 4,000 against $ 2,500 at the presentation of the project faxless payday advance. In addition, the model has undergone a number of technical problems, which has dented its image among consumers. Result: sales prove disappointing. At June 30, less than 22,000 had been passed Nano on the previous twelve months. Far from the target of 250,000 vehicles in stride.

To compete with the Nano is that Renault and Nissan sign an agreement with Bajaj in 2007. Bajaj should design the vehicle, which will be sold by Renault and Nissan. The first date given for such marketing is in 2010. It then slides to 2011 and 2012. Yet this is a purely theoretical date, since the decision to launch this vehicle has never been officially made. And nothing says it will be taken, especially after the delay yesterday. It would not be the first disappointment for Renault in India. In April 2010, the group had in fact ended a joint venture with Mahindra & Mahindra, which produced, with little success, Logan. These difficulties do not however call into question the ambitions of Renault in India. The Diamond brand has even made one of its three priority countries in development. It has a factory in Chennai, which already manufactures the Nissan Micra. And introduced an aggressive new product launches. For a month, the Fluence sedan is marketed. The Koleos 4 × 4 will follow in September. And announcements are expected for the new salon in New Delhi, to be held next January.

This will be the most important transaction of the year or the decade, in the Bordeaux vineyards. Colony Capital said Sunday night the sale of Chateau Lascombes in the mutual health professionals MACSF. The area ranked second vintage in 1855 and benefiting from the Margaux appellation of controlled origin, was valued at a price slightly above 200 million euros.

The work done by Colony Capital, also a shareholder in Accor and Carrefour, in the last decade has clearly paid off. The U.S. investment fund had acquired a majority (55%) of Chateau Lascombes in 2001, disbursing, with 15 other shareholders, 505 million francs, or about 77 million. The domain is at the time, already coveted for its size – double or even triple the area of the left bank of Bordeaux (Médoc and Graves), but the production quality was poor.

Under the general direction of Dominique Befve, hired by Colony from Château Lafite Rothschild, and with ten million euros paid by the fund, the field is reviewed thoroughly. "Chateau Lascombes has regained his place," says the chairman of its board of directors and member of the European team Colony, Jean-Romain Lhomme.

No wonder that the mandated two banks, HSBC and Rothschild & Cie, have received numerous expressions of interest, rather than when Colony had sought to sell its assets for the first time in 2006.Several manufacturers and investors from Europe and elsewhere – including a Chinese group – this time were in the running to acquire the largest producer by volume of AOC Margaux, with annual production exceeding 500,000 bottles. Chateau Lascombes is marketed worldwide: two bottles of five leave the United States and one in three to Asia.

In addition to over 110 hectares of vineyards, Colony sells a castle dating from 1867, but also the stock of the 2010 production, estimated at 20 million euros. The final choice was the MACSF, partly because of the will of the latter to invest long term, although his nationality has probably weighed in the balance.

Constrained by time

New to wine, MACSF was surrounded by experts (bankers Bankers Wine) to lead this investment, which is produced by the class of life insurance. The acquisition represents 1% of assets and MASCF follows that of its head office in Defence, one of the largest real estate transactions in 2009. "The acquisition of Château Lascombes is an investment that allows the MACSF to consolidate its assets in the real property of high quality," said Marcel Kahn, its managing director. In the wake of Axa, who acquired his first vineyard in 1987, more and more insurers are interested in this type of asset perennial.

Chateau Lascombes MACSF to ensure consistent performance that could increase dramatically. The success of Bordeaux wines should not deny a global wine market structurally carrier.Bound by time limits fixed investment, Colony Capital would also gladly kept his field: "the catch-up potential is significant, because prices do not yet reflect the restructuring work done," said Jean-Romain Lhomme, evoking the same a doubling of prices of bottles, while the cost remains stable at about 20 euros.
